Ok, let’s make this long story short and interesting somehow 😀

Who am I

My name is Eduardo Ferrari and today I’m a husband, a father, a hobbyist with my home lab and I’m also Azure Cloud Solutions Architect.

I think this is a good basic summary…

The beginning

I was born on May 1982 in São Paulo - Brazil. As a kid, I loved taking apart my toys to see how they work, the small electric motors, the gears, how the circuit boards look like… Yeah… I broke a lot of them, but I also learned a ton in the process.

First computer

This was so nice, in 1989 (7 years old) my father came home from the work with a PC, this beautiful one that you see on this picture.

PROLogica CP-500

With this PC I started to learning BASIC and writing some small fun programs, making “beep” musics, drawing lines moving the cursor, good times…

The College

Since I had this curiosity about electronics and my father used to work with electrical installations and other stuff, I attend a technical high school focused in Electric-Electronic. These 3 years were amazing, I have learned a lot and I made such nice good friends there.

Self Learning

My uncle had studies on Data Processing too and I saw him writing some cool MS-DOS programs and I asked him about how he does it, and… I started to learn Clipper 🙂

I remember that I wrote a program for a friend in the college, his family has some Flower Stores and they needed a system to keep track of the customers and some sales data… That was my very first real project 😀

Regarding the .Net, since I have been working with VB for a long time, when I saw the news about .Net I got so impressed and I decided to deep dive into it.

I started with the Framework 1.0 (beta 2) as you can see on the picture below. I still have these CDs, it holds a lot of sentimental value for me.

And you can say… Ok you are a MS guy, 100%??? No… look to this… Since the internet connection wasn’t the best to download big files, I have bought my first Linux Distro. Was a Conectiva Linux 4, a Brazilian version based on Fedora - Red Hat. You can read more about it here on Wikipedia (sorry it is in Portuguese).

The University

I have a bachelor degree in Computer Science, 2000 - 2004, formed at USCS - Universidade São Caetano do Sul .

University gave me the theory and explanations behind things I had taught myself years earlier and I just knew that ‘Ok, it works!’ but without knowing why or how.

My career

This is where things start to get more interesting, let’s go in a summary approach, you can get more details on my LinkedIn Profile , so here is a summary of my work life from 2000-06 until now 2025-09.
